EIST Partners with AFARD to Empower Young Women

Erussi Institute of Science and Technology (EIST) is proud to announce a new partnership with AFARD (Agency for Accelerated Regional Development), whose head office is based locally in Nebbi. AFARD’s mission is to empower young women by equipping them with practical skills through high-quality vocational training.
Through this collaboration, Erussi Institute of Science and Technology (EIST) is delighted to welcome 74 young women and 34 babies to our campus. The women are currently undertaking an intensive three-month Crop Production course, and they are already demonstrating remarkable dedication, enthusiasm, and progress.
To support their success, EIST offers first-class onsite boarding facilities, along with a fully equipped nursery for their babies, ensuring a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for both mothers and children throughout their training.
This partnership marks an exciting new chapter for Erussi Institute of Science and Technology (EIST) as we continue our commitment to providing accessible, practical, and life-changing vocational education. We look forward to expanding our training programmes to include Animal Production (poultry, pigs, and goats) as well as Garment and Fashion Design, creating even more opportunities for women to develop valuable skills, achieve economic independence, and build sustainable livelihoods for themselves and their families.
At EIST, we believe that education and skills development are powerful tools for transforming lives, strengthening communities, and creating brighter futures for generations to come.
